About Us

The birth of KEEPIN IT KOOL KIDZ happened after our founder, Tanishka “To-To” Wilson was asked to participate as a speaker during a local high school’s Career Day. While others were speaking to the class, she observed the lack of confidence, enthusiasm, respect, and basic knowledge amongst most of the students in the classroom. When it was her turn to speak, To-To decided to spend more time addressing her observations instead of focusing on her career path. She was very transparent. She passionately told the class exactly what she observed, using some students as examples. As she closed her session, she realized she made a positive impact on the mindset of a few targeted students. At that time, she believed it was possible to change the mindset and create positive citizens for the community.

We work to change hearts and minds. Creating and/or sponsoring health and beauty events, can be a teachable experience along with boosting one’s self esteem. Sharing hobbies with our youth does not only spark interest but could also lead to one creating and owning a successful business using the learned tools. Giving back to the community is a way to alter a selfish mindset and create compassion.

Our aspirations are to create programs that will identify individual goals, teach skill sets, mentor and provide assistance to the youth in order for them to fulfill their goals.
